HOW DOES THE TRANSPORT OF ELECTRICITY OR GAS FROM A SUPRAREGIONAL SUPPLIER TO ME WORK?

The energy supplier feeds the electricity you need into any station of the power grid. You simply consume the amount of electricity you require. The power grid may be compared to a large lake, and every customer takes out as much as they need from any place around the lake. The energy supplier then pours as much water as was taken back into the lake.

WHAT CHANGES CAN I EXPECT AFTER SWITCHING SUPPLIER?

Your routine meter reading is still performed by the distribution grid operator or a service provider on behalf of the operator. Your invoice will be prepared by ENERGIEALLIANZ Austria. And: Our competent team of employees is always at your side in all questions relating to invoicing, payments, and contracts.

WILL I BE REIMBURSED FOR ANY PARTIAL PAYMENTS TO MY PREVIOUS ENERGY SUPPLIER AFTER SWITCHING TO EAA?

After switching your energy supplier, you will receive a final invoice with all payments accounted for from your previous supplier. Any amount remaining will be transferred to your account, while any amounts outstanding will be charged to your account.

WHAT IS THE ELECTRICITY OR GAS PRICE CALCULATED?

The electricity price is basically composed of three elements:

  • Consumer price/energy price
  • Network charges (capacity charge, consumer price, metering charge, license charge)
  • Taxes and surcharges (Combined Heat and Power Act (KWKG) levy, Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) levy, electricity tax, VAT)
